Visitation Friday, November 9, 2018 4-7 PM at Hamp Funeral Home Funeral Mass Saturday, November 10, 2018 10 AM at St. Francis Chapel Betty (nee Whitehead) Quinzio, age 95, of Tonawanda, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Elderwood at Williamsville. Born July 7, 1923 in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Catherine (nee Lyons) Whitehead and was a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. Betty had been employed at Columbus McKinnon in Tonawanda before her marriage and again after having her children.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and a fabulous baker, known especially for her cinnamon bread, date-nut bread, and Christmas cookies (which she mailed to family all over the world). Betty was an avid quilter and everyone in her family had a special quilt made just for them. She was a football enthusiast and never missed watching the Buffalo Bills play.

Betty and her late husband, Joseph, were lucky enough to travel the world together. She loved spending time with her family and made every holiday special. She was the wife of the late Joseph T. Quinzio, who died April 26, 2012; mother of Christine (John) Long of Tonawanda, Susan Nicosia of Arlington, Virginia, Jane (Walter) Beaudet of Snyder, Thomas (Constance) Quinzio of Arlington, Virginia, and Michael Quinzio of Santa Monica, California; and sister of Leslie (Ralph) Librock of Tonawanda.

Grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; also surviving are many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Friday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda; the Rev.

Michael Uebler officiating. Friends invited. Inurnment will be cared for privately at Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton.
