OBITUARY Betty Jane Shorter October 22, 1931 – January 22, 2019 Betty Minnich Shorter, 87, of Harrisburg, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away January 22, 2019 at the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg. She was born October 22, 1931 in Harrisburg, daughter of the late Howard and Minnie May (Darr) Minnich. Prior to retirement, she was employed with Henrietta Stein and Muscalus Furs.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, Steelton Moose Lodge, Mechanicsburg VFW and West Shore Elks Lodge and was an avid bowler with the West Shore Bowling League. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Shorter in 2005. Betty is survived by her nieces; Barbara Waxman and husband Marc, Brenda Bowman and husband Ronald, Shirley Mumma and husband Richard, Rosemary Rauch and husband Michael.

Also numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:30AM Saturday, January 26, 2019 from Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, with viewing from 9:30AM until time of service. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg or Hospice of Central PA.
