Obituary for Betty Jean Haynie Betty Jean Haynie, 87, formerly of Sherwood passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at Hospice Care of Little Rock. She was born March 29, 1931 to Leslie and Elsie Hodges. She was a member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church since 1959.

Betty always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, William Baxter Haynie; her youngest son, David Baxter Haynie; brother, Walter Hodges; sister, Bobbie Woodson. Survivors are their son, Michael Haynie (Linda), their daughter, Cara Haynie, son, Leslie Haynie (Jackie), and their daughter, Whitney Haynie; brother, Tommy Hodges; and nephews and nieces.

A graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2018 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 Maryland Ave. , North Little Rock. Arrangements by Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home.
