OBITUARY Betty Jean Jackson October 11, 1927 – October 14, 2018 Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, with Reverend Jack Homesley officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00am.

Jean was born on October 11, 1927 in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Sam Goodson and Hattie Abernethy Cashion. She was a life-long member of Hoskins Avenue Baptist Church. Jean graduated from high school and began her work career with Southern Bell in Charlotte.

She was a homemaker, worked in the school cafeteria at Hoskins Elementary School, and retired from the Baptist Bookstore in 1974. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Wade Strong Jackson; her parents, two brothers, and a sister. Surviving family members are children, Jeff Jackson (Carolyn) of Huntersville, NC, Joan Jones of Clover, SC, and David Jackson (Carrie) of Denver, NC.

Grandchildren, Alicia Hunter, Lindsey Eppley (Logan), Colby Jackson, Anna Vick (Chris), Benjamin Jackson (Anna), Abbi Jackson, and Carson Jackson; two great granddaughters, Emerson And Blythe Eppley, and a sister, Thelma (Honey) Lippard of Wilmington. Memorials may be made to Stanley Total Living Center Nursing Scholarship, 514 Old Mt. Holly Rd.
