Mrs. Betty Jo Helton, age 88 of Clarksville and formerly of Guthrie, passed away on Sunday, December 23rd at her residence of natural causes. She was born February 6, 1930 in Rockhold, Kentucky the daughter of the late N. D. and Thelma Siler Bennett. She was a Christian and Baptist by faith.

She was loving, caring, generous and all about her family. She also worked hard at everything she did. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Bernice Helton and one son Richard Helton.

She is survived by one daughter Laura Sumner (Philip) of Clarksville as well as three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation with the Helton family will be on Wednesday from 12:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Rev. Felts Dent officiating.

Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
