Betty’s Obituary Betty Joy York Puckett was called home early Saturday morning on December 22nd, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Betty was born April 16th, 1933 in Johntown TX. She married Billy R Puckett on November 11th, 1951.

Betty and her late husband Bill moved to Denton in 1966 where they raised 4 kids. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who took pride in her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her family and for many years often travelled home to East Texas to visit her family there.

Betty worked in the daycare at First Baptist Church in Denton, TX for 25 years. She is survived by her son Mark and Susan Puckett of Corinth, her daughter Karla and Ricky Prince of Sanger and son Kyle and Susan Puckett of Flower Mound, along with 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 sister, Dixie Stringfelllow of Bogota Tx. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Puckett, son Ken Puckett of Georgia and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be 6-8pm on Wednesday the 26th of December at DeBerry Funeral Directors and the funeral service will be at 10 am on the 27th at First Baptist Church on Malone St in Denton, TX. A graveside service will follow at 3pm in the Bogota Cemetery in Bogota TX.
