Betty L. Jennette, 77, loving wife of Joe W. Jennette, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Dec. 12. after a courageous battle with cancer.

A native of Estill County she was born Feb. 16, 1941 to the late William and Alvie Rose White. Betty was a member of Tates Creek Christian Church and a retired clerk of the US Bankruptcy Court where she had been employed for 37 years.

She loved mowing her yard in the summer, walking outside admiring the trees and flowers and was especially fond of her cat. In addition to her husband she will be fondly remembered by her sisters Evelyn Ruth Cox, Harrodsburg, Wanda Hilton, and Frances Sanders both of Versailles, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Remembrance Service will be 2:30 PM Saturday, Dec.

15, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Brother Bruce Carpenter officiating. She will be laid to rest in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Bryan , Darien, Randy and Kyle Wade, Eric and Chad Kestel, and Chuck Jennette.

Honorary bearers will be Gerald McKinney and Troy Hager. Her family will greet friends beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday and ending at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. “Tears are words the heart can’t bear to say”.
