Betty L. Zwilling, 88, of Claremont, passed away February 28, 2019 at Carle RMH, 3rd Floor, Olney, IL. She was born September 19, 1930 in Jasper Co. IL, the daughter of Phillip and Regina (Deimel) Frohning. She married David Zwilling on July 14, 1953 Wendelin, IL, and he precedes her in death.
She is survived by her son, Ronald (Nancy) Zwilling; Daughter, Doris (Charlie) Morehouse; Daughter, Madonna (Norman) Boehl; Son, Al (Becky) Zwilling; Son, Edwin (Cindy) Zwilling; Son, Gary (Dorothy) Zwilling; Daughter, Carol (Jerry) Bohlen; Daughter, Reta (Brian) Kocher; Grandchildren, Brad (Paula) Zwilling, Chris (Jillian) Zwilling, Alan (Megan) Zwilling, Luke (Amanda) Zwilling, Emily (AJ Gartner) Morehouse, Andy (Elizabeth Sager) Morehouse, Bruce (Jeana) Boehl, Sarah Boehl, Sharon Boehl, Jase (Lin) Zwilling, Clay (Deanna) Zwilling, Taylor Zwilling, Ethan Zwilling, Laura (Sam) Sterchi, Bridget (Scott) Minchuk, Melany (Joe Duax) Zwilling, Kenzie Zwilling, Rachel (Nick Foerster) Zwilling, Tiffany (Logan) Weems, Nicole (Tyler) Fitch, Catherine (Blake) Fritschle; Great Grandchildren, Dylan, Caleb, and Nathan Zwilling, GiGi, Anastasia, and Isabetta Zwilling, Addison and Brooklyn Zwilling, Lydia and Abigail Zwilling, Carson and Eli Boehl, Grayson, Delana, Ryker, and Aliza Sterchi, Peyton Webber, Raiden, Kayson, and Hayden Weems, Ella and Adalyn Fitch, and Garrett Fritschle, and two more on the way; Brother, Henry Frohning; Sisters, Pauline Crider, Regina Thomas, Francis Elherding, and Georgianna Trout; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was a loving wife and mother who always put others first. She was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary every day and inspired her family with her faithfulness.
She touched the lives of many and welcomed all as though they were family. Betty was the ultimate hostess who enjoyed cooking and baking. She also took pleasure in embroidery, quilting, gardening, and word searches.
Betty’s selfless devotion to others has left an imprint on all of the hearts that she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bernard Frohning and Richard Frohning; sisters, Amelia Gowins, Josephine Kinkade, Geraldine Keller, Marcella Ewing, Marilyn Kocher, and Marjorie Frohning; and great grandchild, Lucian Zwilling. A visitation will be held March 04, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on March 05, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown. Memorials can be made to St. Joseph Foundation Trust.
