Betty Marie Fleegle, age 88, Dunkard Hollow Road, Alum Bank, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 at Pennknoll Village, Snake Spring Twp. She was born on August 13, 1930 in Pontiac, MI. Betty Marie was the daughter of the late Ralph N. and Marie (McCreary) Miller.

Betty Marie was the wife of Donald W. Fleegle whom she married on October 28, 1951. She is survived by her husband and two children, Daughter- Tanya Fleegle of Alum Bank and fiancée’ Donald Thompson, Son- Ralph husband of Jeannine Fleegle, Chestertown, MD; and one Grandson- Conner husband of Nina Fleegle, Chestertown, MD; Sister- Carole widow of Thomas Miller, Buffalo Mills, PA. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters: Annabelle (Brady) Lohr of New Paris, Bobbie Jean( Jesse) Gaskin SC.

and Nancy (Henry) Isenberg, TN. Betty Marie was a farmer’s daughter, she started driving horse drawn equipment which she loved and moved onto tractors. She worked in the fields and orchard, milking cows and was her Father’s faithful helper.

She was a wonderful cook and baker. She was a faithful member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church for 70 plus years. She was a Sunday School teacher, Choir Member and Missions Worker along with other roles.

Betty Marie was a loving, kind, wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and everyone who knew her will miss her beautiful smile. Friends will be received Friday, November 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville. A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
