Obituary for Betty Sims Oggs Betty S. Oggs of Ellisville went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2019 at Jones County Rest Home. Mrs. Oggs was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore “Sonny” Oggs III of Kenner, LA; her parents, Willy and Mary Sims of Ellisville, MS; brothers, John T. Sims of Ellisville and Mark and Marvin Williamson; and sisters, Evelyn Thornton and Inez Sims. Survivors include her son, Theodore A. Oggs IV (Tammie); daughters, Sharon McGuire (Johnny) and Karen Burnham (Duck); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; beloved sister-in-law of Vermel Sims of Ellisville, MS and many friends.

Mrs. Oggs was a member of Antioch United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Gerald Sawyer will be officiating.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 9th at Memory Chapel in Laurel, MS. Visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her soulmate Sonny. To sign the online guest book, visit www.
