A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Beulah Teel of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019, will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. , Pastor Antonio Hawkins, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.

April was born in Albany, GA on April 1, 1950 to the late Joseph Thomas Teel and Elouise Priester-Teel. She came to Tampa at a young age in 1954. She attended local the schools of Hillsborough County, and graduated from Middleton High School class of ’68.

She held numerous jobs and worked for: Sherron Glass, Tampa Maid, Padgett Nursing Home, Lilly White Hospital and Habana Rehab Center, until her health began to fail. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gloria Teel; brothers, Johnny Teel, Sr., Charles Allen and Brooks Priester; niece, Jennifer Charles and sister, Ada Grimes. She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories with her children, Christopher Jones (Maggie), La’Ronica Holton and April Butler-Holton (Kirk); grandchildren, Aviance Aronald (Michael), Devin Champion (Breonna), Devon Champion (Tierra), Devion Hull (Taniqua), Qua’Shawun Teel Booker, Dai’Shawn and De’Shawn Franklin; great grandchildren, Aviyanna, Amillyon, Devin, Jr., Devon Jr., Courey, Jr. and Avim; brothers, Nathaniel Teel and Aaron Teel; sisters, Lula Teel and Ada Teel-Hall; uncle, Ezekial Priester (Doris) of Beaufort, SC; aunt, Mary Brown (James) of New York; nieces, Brenda Washington-Thomas (Coopie), Lois Gordon (Omar), Katrina Stanley, Megan Charles (Jerell), Carra Ware, Vivian Moore (Lamont), Twynetta Booze, Leslie Scott (Rudy) and Sabrina Teel; nephews, Edward Pope (Reva Iman), Nathaniel Pope, Johnny Teel, Jr., Julius, Tony Teel, Michael Stuart (Tina), Louis Teel, Nathaniel Teel, Nathan Teel, Jamarus Thomas, Ted Washington, Ricky Scott, Joseph Teel and John Teel and a host of great nieces, great nephews, many cousins and family members from New York, South Carolina, Georgia including the Barton’s, Grimes’, Anderson’s, and Priester families.

The visitation will be held on Friday, March 8th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet a t the chapel on Saturday for the service.
