Beverly Ann Harden Rowland, 81, wife of the late Olin Matthew Rowland, of 1218 N. Catherine Street, Walhalla, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Seneca, SC, Mrs. Rowland was the daughter of the late Robert Samuel and Maude Hanvey Harden. She enjoyed watching Walhalla basketball and the Heartland Program on TV.

Mrs. Rowland loved her family especially her kids and grandkids and attended Fairview Church of God. Mrs. Rowland is survived by her son: Robert Mays Rowland of Seneca; daughter: Susan Rowland Certain (Jimmy) of Seneca; brothers: Eddie Harden of Seneca and Larry Harden (Wanda) of West Union; sister: Gloria Poole (Grady) of Seneca; grandchildren: Krystal Certain Holcombe (Brody) and Angie L. Smith; and great-grandchildren: Casey C. Holcombe, Destiny Smith and Joshua Smith. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Rowland was preceded in death by her brothers: Wallace Harden, Charles “Hokey” Harden, Thomas Harden, Eugene Harden and J.R. Harden; and sister: Pauline Hunnicutt.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Fairview Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Oconee Palliative Care, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
