Beverly Ann Perreault, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in her home at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston, MN on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Beverly was born in Crookston, MN on June 11, 1940, the daughter of Eldrick and Evelyn (Brule) Audette. She was baptized at St. Anthony’s Church in Terrebonne, MN.

Beverly attended the Terrebonne Village School, St. Joseph’s Elementary School and Lafayette High School, where she graduated in 1958. During her school years, Beverly was an active member of St. Anthony’s Church in Terrebonne where she played the organ and was a member of their church choir. Following graduation, she worked at Norby’s Department Store in Grand Forks before moving to Crookston to work in the office of St. Francis Hospital.

On February 20, 1960, Beverly was united in marriage to Ronald Perreault. The couple made their home south of Red Lake Falls on the Perreault Family Homestead and together they raised six children: Jeff, Brian, Kevin, Lisa, Angie, and Naomi. Beverly dedicated her life to raising her six children and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed sewing, canning, baking, family camping trips, playing cards, quiet time with God, attending bible study, crocheting, long walks, spending time with friends, shopping with her daughters and working in her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed the holidays and always looked forward to having her children/grandchildren home for a special meal. Beverly also enjoyed any occasion to celebrate the gift of time together with her Mother and brothers and sisters and their families.

Beverly was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gentilly, a Member of the Catholic Daughters and also participated in Card Club and Homemakers where she formed many lifelong friendships. In 1977, Beverly was presented with an opportunity from Gentilly Farmers Mutual Insurance Company to work as their Administrative Assistant. As the company grew and was renamed Bray Gentilly Insurance Company, Beverly was promoted to Manager.

For many years, she enjoyed serving families in the community and surrounding areas until December 1997 when she retired due to ill health. In 2003, as Beverly’s health continued to decline, she made the Summit Apartments and the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston her permanent home. Despite her many physical limitations and chronic pain, her steadfast faith was truly inspiring.

Beverly always had a smile, and was quick to find joy in each day and chose to focus on the blessings in her life. She was truly a ray of light to anyone she came in contact with. She accepted her health obstacles as part of her cross to bear and expressed that she knew that no matter where God placed her, “He” would want her to “Bloom where she was planted” in this life, until she entered heaven.

Throughout the years, Beverly could often be heard expressing her love and heartfelt gratitude toward her special companion, Harry, her friends and her Villa caregivers whom she considered her extended family. Their genuine love and commitment to her overall care and well-being when she was no longer able to meet these care needs on her own will be forever cherished. Beverly is preceded in death by her Father Eldrick Audette and her Mother Evelyn Audette.

She is survived by her loving family – Jeff (Barb) Perreault, Brian (Kari) Perreault, Kevin ( Chris) Perreault, Lisa (Jeri) D’Orazio, Angie (Brad) Schirmers, Naomi (Tim) St. John; her 16 grandchildren and four great grand-children; Ronald Perreault; brothers, Dean (Bonnie) Audette and Richard (Heidi) Audette; sister, Janna (Roger) Cayler, many, many treasured friends and her faithful, devoted companion Harry Manole. May God richly bless the memory of Beverly and all those who shared in her life.
