Beverly Jean Blackburn, 79, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, November 1, 2018. Mrs. Blackburn was born on February 24, 1939 in Leetonia, OH, a daughter of Delbert and Helen (Couchie) Shriver. She married Fred Blackburn on May 16, 1964, and together they would raise two daughters.

Beverly was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Leetonia United Methodist Church. Beverly enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, and word puzzles.

She loved the Smokey Mountains and also collected giraffes. She leaves to cherish her precious memory two daughters, Beth (Lee) Elifritz of Leetonia and Lisa (John) Tolson of Salem; grandchildren, Andy Mead, Cody Mead (Ashley), and Nathan Elifritz, two great-grandchildren Madison and Evan, her brother Rick (Pam) Shriver, two nieces and her extended family. Mrs. Blackburn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and grandson Zachary Elifritz.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Seederly–Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana with Pastor Cyndi Midlick officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
