Life Story for Beverly Miller Beverly Marie Miller Age 90, Passed on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Lucie’s Shady Rest, a wonderful assisted living facility in San Diego. She was born in Portland Maine on November 11, 1927. To Raymond B. Dyer and Agnes Breton Dyer, the middle child to two brothers.

Bev was born in Maine and never lost her love for her birth place. She talked about it often. When she moved to San Diego she would mention she missed the “changing of the seasons”.

She traveled back to Maine often to see relatives and reconnect. When Bev first moved to San Diego in 1951 she worked for Ma Bell Telephone company and later got a job working for the County of San Diego as an eligibility worker until her retirement. After her retirement she traveled extensively with her husband Gene.

Spending time with her Senegal Parrot “Pepper”, line dancing and visiting Idyllwild, CA, were some of her favorite things to do. Bev is a published author of short stories. She has been published in Down East magazine, Maine Mountain Digest, Maine Journal and many Northeast magazines.

She loved to write stories about her times growing up in Maine. She would listen to her mother tell stories and share them in her short stories. Bev resided in Bonita, CA, for 52 years.

She was also a member of the Precious Blood Church in Chula Vista for 18 Years. She is survived by her husband Gene, brother Raymond, daughter Kathy, son-in-law Wayne, daughter in law Brigitte and grandson Matthew.
