Bill’s Obituary Bill Smith, 86, of Gastonia, passed away, Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born, April 21, 1932 in Gaston County, son of the late Clarence Smith and Betty Dailey Smith. Bill was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Klara Bieringer Smith. Left to cherish his memories are, his son, David Smith; daughters, Rosmarie Bingham, Sylvia Bailey, and Julia Gibson; brothers, David Smith and Larry Smith; sister, Susan Trabue; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd.

, Gastonia, NC 20852. A graveside service officiated by Pastor Susan Trabue, will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Gaston Memorial Park with Military Honors. …Schlaf gut.
