William’s Obituary William “Larry” Wright, 74, of Gastonia, passed away February 22, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 14, 1945 in Cleveland County, son of the late William and Oveta Wright. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, L.D. Wright Mr. Wright was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Gastonia, where he played the bass guitar.

He loved to fish and listen to music and was a member of the Belmont Moose Lodge. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 41 years, Doricia Drennan Wright; son, James Christopher Wright and wife Teresa Greene Wright; father-in-law, Rev. James Drennan; grandchildren, Laine Wright and Kinlee Wright.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Bethel Baptist Church. Speaker Charlie Howard and Rev. Sam Adams will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3pm prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Westview Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral costs may be made to Doricia Wright, 2328 Buena Vista Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054.
