Robert’s Obituary BELMONT – Robert Monroe Falls passed away February 8, 2019 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born April 18, 1940, in Gastonia, son of the late Albert Floyd Falls and Agnes Dedmond Falls. He honorably served in the US Army and completed two tours of duty in Vietnam.

Mr. Falls was a decorated soldier and received a Bronze Star for his service. He was a brave and loyal soldier that loved his country. He retired from Wix Corporation.

He loved people and was a giving man with a heart of gold. His favorite hobby was fishing for sport and pleasure, and at times would fish all night. He is survived by his son, Robert Monroe Falls, Jr., grandson, Skyler Nathaniel Falls; brothers, James Ray Falls, William Farrell Falls; his sisters, Mary Falls Lewis, Rebecca Falls Hudson; nieces and nephews; his long-time companion, Sheila Terry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Albert Falls. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnett.

Visitation will follow at the funeral home.
