Mrs. Billie McAlister, age 86, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019. She was born on June 17, 1932, in Scottsboro, AL, to the late Elmer & Ruby Southeard, and was preceded in death by three sisters, and brother, Rayford Southeard. Mrs. McAlister loved her church and all her family.

She was a member of TOPS, enjoyed gardening and loved cooking. She was a devoted member of Ridge Road Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, C.L McAlister of Hiram, GA; son, James & Shirley Davis of Bowden, GA; daughters, Carol McDonald of Marietta, GA, Pam & Ricky Price of Douglasville, GA, and Beverly & Greg Thompson of Hiram, GA; brothers, Walter Southeard, Bobby & Patricia Southeard and William Southeard; sisters, Cricket Keller, Dorothy Fairbanks and Shirley & JC Haswell; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Dwayne Hewett officiating. Interment will follow in Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 5 PM until 8 PM.
