Billy “Bill” Richter, 74, of Valparaiso, passed away on March 12, 2019, He was born on November 13, 1944 in Montgomery, Alabama, to Ray and Charlotte (Pounders) Richter, who both preceded him in death. Before Bill retired he worked in maintenance at Macy’s. He also was a member of Bonney Lake Nazarene Church in Washington and a member of New Hope Church in South Haven.

Bill also loved spending his time working on real estate. Bill was preceded in death by his brother Earl (Nancy) Richter and sister Betty Richter. On May 19, 1972 in Tacoma, WA, he married Carol Setala, who survives in Valparaiso.

He is also survived by his children Chuck (Beth) Richter of Valparaiso, Karin (Rich) Skudder and Kelly (Ken) Sheil of Washington, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister Carol (Mike) Riordan, and brother Ray (Hilda) Richter of Washington. There are no services at this time.
