Obituary for Billy Dean Smith Print Healdton – Billy Dean “Bill” Smith of Healdton departed this life on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 14 days. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Healdton with his family officiating.

Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma. Bill was born on March 21,1931 in Healdton, OK to the late Mr. John Henry Smith and Mrs. Edna Elizabeth (McManus) Smith. He grew up and lived in the Healdton area his entire life.

Mr. Smith married the former Ms. Vivian Alise Finley on March 15, 1963 in Graham. They made their first home in Fox and later moved to Healdton where they would raise their six children. Bill and Vivian shared many wonderful years together until her death on November 17, 2014.

Bill was a hard worker and had worked for Sutherland Well Service for over 30 years before his retirement. He always enjoyed spending time with family, being outdoors, fishing, growing tomatoes and taking care of his chickens. He will be missed by all his friends and family.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vivian Smith; daughter, Nancy Jo Smith; grandson, Cody Joe Wade; and 10 siblings. He is survived by his sons, Monty Smith and wife Diane of Wilson, David Smith and wife Nicki of Healdton, Darrin Smith and wife Debra of Wylie, TX; daughters, Theresa Cox and husband Bobby of Ardmore, Carol Hunter and husband Rick of Tuttle; grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole, Jerry, Kasey, Brandi, Ashley, Cory, Mendi, Derek, and Dylan; and 18 great grandkids as well as many other relatives and a host of friends. Serving as Pall Bearers are Darrin Smith, Dylan Smith, Derek Smith, Jerry Smith, Randy Whitsett, and Mickey Ficklin.
