Obituary for Billy J. Rollison Billy Jackson Rollison, 82, of Cross City passed away December 11, 2018. Mr. Rollison was born May 18, 1936 to the late William and Vetta Rollison in Horseshoe Beach. He was a lifelong resident of Dixie County other than the time he spent in the United States Navy.

He had worked several places over the years including Suwanee Lumber and owning his own logging business, but most of all he loved being a commercial fisherman, which he did most of his life. Mr. Rollison was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Rollison is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary Rollison, his sons Dwayne “Top” Rollison (Melody), Wayne Rollison (Paula), Billy Rollison (Angel), his daughter Sandra Rucker (Bobby), his brother John Rollison, his sisters Aretha O’steen, Mary Paulk, Gladys Raulson, and Doravee Lewis, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and other extended family members.

Funeral services for Mr. Rollison will be held 3:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City Chapel, with Pastor Fred Edwards and Pastor Bobby Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Arrangements have been placed under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City, Florida 352-498-5400 and Chiefland, Florida 352-493-0050.
