Obituary for Billy Ray Hamrick SHELBY- Billy Ray Hamrick, 86, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at Peak Rerdzt/s-Shelby. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late Elbert and Martha Parris Hamrick. He was a long time member of Pine Grove UMC.

He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He proudly served his country in the National Guard. PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Marie Hamrick; brothers, Thomas Lee and Bobby Dean Hamrick; and sister, Barbara Ann Camp.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his sons, William Hamrick and wife Sheri of Taylorsville, NC and Kenneth Hamrick and wife Kim of Boiling Springs; daughter Kathy Hamrick of Earl; sisters, Mary Etta Trammel of Patterson Springs and Becky Karchesky of Shelby; brother, Wayne Hamrick of Shelby; grandchildren, Chris, Rodney, Brandon, Jake and Megan Hamrick, Nikki Weathers, and Mandy Johnson; great grandchildren, Devon and Gunnar Weathers and Rose and Riley Hamrick, and Junior Johnson. VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
