Blanche Marie Bessel (LaTour) March 20, 1925 – March 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Blanche Marie (LaTour) Bessel, age 94, formerly of Chaska, MN, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Lutheran Home of Belle Plaine, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019, 11:00 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 218 W. 2nd St., Chaska, MN. The visitation will be on Thursday, March 28, 4 -7 PM at the Bertas Funeral Home, 200 West Third Street, Chaska, and also one hour prior to the Mass at church.

Casketbearers will be her grandchildren, James Manzi-Moore, Kristine Bye, Jennifer Romero, Katie Moore, Anita Pfeifer, Charles LaTour, Tara Lindemeier, Angela Weiland, Kelsey Sorenson and Adam Lindemeier. Burial will be at Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery, Chaska. Blanche was born on March 20, 1925 in Chaska, MN, to Joseph and Rose (Diethelm) Moers, one of 4 children.

Blanche was born and raised on the family farm in Chaska and was baptized, confirmed and attended the parochial school at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Chaska. On May 3, 1949 she married Erbin LaTour at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. They had 3 children.

After Erbin’s death in 1995, she married Leslie Bessel on February 24, 2001 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Blanche worked at Ramsland Drug in Chaska for many years and also was site manager of Congregate Dining in Chaska. She was a lifetime member of Guardian Angels Church and also of the Daughters of Isabella.

She was a loving wife, mom, grandma and homemaker who loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed polka and waltz dancing, gardening and traveling with Les. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Erbin LaTour, brothers, Ruben and Elmer “Slicky” Moers; sister, Marie LaTour; sisters-in-law, Alice Moers, Betty LaTour, brothers-in-law, Anthony LaTour Jr., Wilfred LaTour.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie of Belle Plaine; children, Bonnie (Ron) Moore of Chaska, Tom (Debbie) LaTour of Carver, Judy (Rick) Lindemeier of Chaska; step children, Kristi (Dave) Kirsch of Victoria, Nancy (Dave) Pysick of Watertown, Lee (Karen) Bessel of Belle Plaine, Amy (Chuck) Busch of Clear Lake, Jodi (Tim) Bristlin of Belle Plaine; sister, Jeannette (Donald) Van Sloun of Belle Plaine; grandchildren; step-grandchildren; great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
