Robert “Bob” Roffey, 75, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 8:54 pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on July 16, 1943 in Peoria to Robert C. and Wilma A. Ray Roffey, he married Vivian (Maddy) Kaufman on December 17, 1986 in Ohio; she survives. Also surviving are his children, Stacy (Corey) Wise of Bryant, Melissa (Shaun) Miller of Canton, Amber (Mike) Reatherford of Germantown Hills, Michael (Lisa) Kaufman of Snohomish, WA, Tammy (Kevin) Poppen of Germantown Hills and Timothy (Melinda) Kaufman of Germantown Hills; 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Cheryl Luper of Canton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis Roffey. Bob retired from the Shilley Company, and prior to that, worked at International Harvester, Navistar International and Lance Inc He loved the Cubs and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and he enjoyed working in his yard.

Bob was a man of faith, whose legacy will be his gentle nature and love for his family and friends. A funeral service for Bob will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 16, 2019 at his church, Harvest Bible Chapel in East Peoria. Pastors Tim Harkness and Kent Smith will officiate.

Visitation will be from noon-2:00 pm Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
