OBITUARY Bob Rouse August 27, 1941 – November 8, 2018 Play Tribute Movie George Robert ‘Bob’ Rouse, the son of Dale & Julia Rouse, was born August 27, 1941 in Danville, IL and passed away November 8, 2018 in Irving, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Rouse & brother, Alan Rouse. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Denise Rouse; children: Susan Williams & Scott, Debbie Stewart-Cox & Rob and Aaron Lancaster; grandchildren: Graham Williams, Madeleine Williams, Luke Williams, Greg Cox & Aimee and Travis Cox; great-grandchildren, Savannah Cox & Easton Cox; sister, Jan Rouse & Nora Bergman; brothers-in-law, Rick Woodard & Kristin and Rob Woodard & Stacy; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bob & Necie Woodard; niece, Hailey Woodard and nephews, Ben Woodard & Cayden Woodard.

Out of high school Bob went into radio broadcasting. For 25 years he worked in various positions, from a Deejay to ownership. From 1971 – 1975 he was a Staff Assistant to U.S. Representative John Myers R-7th Indiana and he never lost his love to talk about politics.

Following radio broadcasting, Bob began his career in the cemetery/funeral industry. For the first 8 years he was the Executive Vice President & General Manager of Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, IN and then he joined Service Corporation International of Houston, TX. During his time with SCI Bob worked as a General Manager of various properties located in Sarasota/Bradenton, FL, Wichita Falls, TX and Dallas, TX among others.

From 2005 until retirement he managed the four Catholic Cemeteries in Dallas. On June 24, 2016 Bob retired from the cemetery/funeral industry after 31 years. He was honest, straight forward, thoughtful and thought provoking.

We are better people for having Bob as part of our lives. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., November 11, 2018 at the funeral Home. A celebration of life will be Monday, 10:00 a.m., November 12, 2018 at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home.

Entombment will be at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville, TX.
