OBITUARY Bobby B Whitmire December 1, 1935 – October 5, 2018 Bobby Bruce Whitmire, 82, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Manna Health and Rehabilitation of Pickens. Born on December 1, 1935, he was the son of the late Clyde and Essie Porter Whitmire. He was a member of Gap Hill Church of God and enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife Doris Elizabeth Chapman Whitmire; one son Gary Whitmire (Cynde); one daughter, Jeanna Stone; two brothers, Claude Whitmire (Mildred) and Haskell Whitmire; five sisters, Glady Mae Nix, Yvonne Durham, Sue Farmer (Thad), Kathy Young (Larry) and Diane Sanderson (Fred); four grandchildren, Jonathan Stone, Jared Stone, Christen Perry (Kyle) and Taylor Whitmire (Jonathan Sieberhagen). He was also predeceased by three brothers, Johnny Whitmire, Pete Whitmire, and Roy Whitmire and two sisters, Lucille Chastain and Sylvia Cantrell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Russell Baldwin officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. Memorials may be made to Paladium Hospice, 1901 Assembly St., Columbia, SC 29201 or to Gap Hill Church of God, 3540 Walhalla Hwy.
