OBITUARY Mrs. Elizabeth H Cobb August 16, 1929 – November 28, 2018 Nancy Elizabeth Hayes Cobb, 89, wife of the late Earl Henry Cobb, of Easley, passed away on November 28, 2018. Born in Pickens County She was the daughter of the late James Clero Hayes and Essie Turner Hayes of Easley. Mrs. Cobb attended Greenville General Hospital School of Nursing, but left school to start her family.

After raising her four children, she returned to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a registered nurse. She worked at Easley baptist hospital for 45 years, first as a unit secretary, then as a registered nurse. Her love for her profession and her dedication to it were unmatched.

Mrs. Cobb also taught in the medical secretary program at Tri-County Technical College, and she was an American Red Cross BLS Instructor. Mrs Cobb was a former Sunday School teacher and GA leader. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Six Mile.

She participated in several mission trips with her church and loved helping with vacation Bible School or in the kitchen to feed the mission team. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs Cobb was pre deceased by one son, James Henry Cobb, one sister, Ina Mae Hayes Chapman, and one brother, Captain James C Hayes (USN). Mrs Cobb is survived by one son, Dr. Dan Cobb (Meda) of Columbia, SC, and two daughters, Judith Cobb Thomas (Reuben) of Albuquerque, NM, and Amy Cobb Hayes (Rick) of Pickens, SC, and one sister, Jean Hayes Rogers (Jerry) of Easley.

She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Jack Thomas, Ben Thomas, Seth Cobb, Shonna Cobb, Hannah Cobb, MaryBeth Hayes Leon, and Andrew Hayes, 9 great grand-children and two great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family would like to extend heart felt thanks to Mandy Mosteller for her loving care of mom for the past 4 years. They would also like to thank the staff of Interim Hospice, the staff of Magnolias Assisted Living, and the staff of Brookdale Senior Care.

Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for international missions via Mountain View Baptist Church 336 Mountain View Church Road, Six Mile, SC.
