Bobby “Bob” H. Gardner April 5, 1932 ~ May 10, 2019 NORTH OGDEN – Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother was called home on May 10, 2019. He was born on April 5, 1932 in Teton, Idaho, the sons of William John and Leatha Rose Gardner. Bob was married to Dorothy “Dee” Newton on March 4, 1954 Bob was a very active and loving man.

He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, helping others build projects, and his convertible. He was witty, honest, and knowledgeable on so many topics. He loved asking questions and learning about people and their lives.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 until he was honorably discharged in 1960. Bob began working at Gresham Roofing in 1948 and later established his own roofing company (Gardner Roofing) in 1966. Bob began working for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1950 until his retirement in 1994.

Bob is survived by his children, Robbie Gardner, Jamie Gardner, Tomi Gardner, and Lyndie Gardner Chavez; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers, Benny “Ben” Gardner and Michael “Mike” Gardner; and one sister, CloDella “Clo” Gardner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dee” Gardner; daughter, Laurie Gardner Weese; sister, Carla Gardner Skeen; brother, Max Gardner; sister, Sandra Gardner Shupe.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Huntsman Cancer Center or American Cancer Society.
