Memorial service for Bobby Dwight Shirley, age 71, of Arley, AL (formerly of Decatur), will be Sunday, December 23, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Mr. Shirley, who died Thursday, December 20, 2018, at his residence, was born March 14, 1947, in Marshall County to Frank Shirley and Vera Martin Shirley.

He was a U. S. Army veteran, and worked in maintenance at Solutia in Decatur. Mr. Shirley was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Nell, and his parents. He is survived by two sons, Mark Shirley & wife, Melanie, of Trinity, and Scott Shirley & wife, April, of Decatur; two brothers, Bill Shirley and Danny Shirley, both of Guntersville; four grandchildren, Connor Shirley, Jacob Shirley, Ashley Croft, and Amber Van Dyke; and four great-grandchildren, Bash, Ezra, Olivia, and Shawn.
