Bobby Jenks, age 80, passed away on Sunday May 12, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Jenks was born on May 4, 1939 in Ambrose, Georgia the son of the late Oather Jenks and Ruby Reed Jenks. He works as a heavy equipment operator for the Coffee County Road Department and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Mr. Jenks was preceded in death by two brothers, J.C. Jenks and Larry Jenks and a brother-in-law, Ronald Taylor. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jenks of Douglas, GA; daughter, Tammy Medina and husband Antonio of Nicholls, GA; son, Trent Lott of Douglas, GA; grandson, Zachary Eilkins; three granddaughters, Vanessa Medina, Ofelia Medina and Paloma Medina; two great granddaughters, Zoah Medina and Aara Medina; great grandson, Daxton Medina; four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law’; special dog “Boo”. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 4:00pm in the Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Don Lott officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Wilkins, John Henry Dockery, Ronnie Taylor, Wesley Thomas, Scotty Lott and Bryson Lott. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Coffee County Road Department and Antonio Medina. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.
