Reidsville, Mr. Bobby Anderson, age 80, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Meadows Park Health & Rehabilitation in Vidalia. He was born on March 3, 1938 in Reidsville to Dwight and Bessie Snead Anderson and lived most of his life in Reidsville. As a business leader in the City of Reidsville, he was the owner and operator of Anderson Auto, Inc. from 1975 to 2011.

Not only did the business provide for his family financially; he was blessed with countless friendships made in serving others throughout the years. His love of community did not stop at his business. In his pursuit to help others, he joined the Reidsville Lions Club, was a member of Rising Sun Lodge #32 and Past Master, and a member of the Reidsville Baptist Church.

In helping and teaching others, he found his true life’s calling. Many hunters will recall the days when he taught hunting safety courses, ensuring that young hunters were trained to use firearms responsibly and safely. His personal passions often found him, in his free time, buying/selling old cars, fishing, gardening, writing songs, and playing the guitar.

Among all the joy’s he found in life, by far his favorite past time was spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Paula Lynn Beasley; siblings, William S. Anderson, Franklin Anderson, Leroy Anderson, Elizabeth Futch, George Anderson, and Frankie Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Arlene O. Anderson of Reidsville; children, Bobbie Ann Eason of Reidsville; Kelly Anderson of Darien, Lisa (Kelvin) Mosley of Reidsville, Neil Anderson of Vidalia, and Cindy (Seaby) Phillips of Soperton; sister, Alberta (LH) Harrelson of Reidsville; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 29, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville with Reverend Jeffery Barnard and Mr. Tommy Reddish officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Reidsville Lions Club.
