Obituary for Bonita Hope Dalton On December 25, 2018, Bonita Hope Dalton, 91, of Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, passed peacefully at the Vernon Manor surrounded by family. On Monday, December 31, 2018, a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Visitation will occur one hour prior to service time at the Maple Ridge Bible Church in Boscobel, Wisconsin. Bonita began her life on February 8, 1927, in Orion, Wisconsin.

She attended a one-room schoolhouse, and then graduated from the Boscobel High School. She met and married her husband, Stanley, on December 28, 1945. They moved to Hillsboro, WI and started a family.

In the years that followed, they returned to this area and worked on several farms. In 1961, they purchased their own farm on North Clayton Ridge near Soldiers Grove. She enjoyed living the farm life for 57 years.

Her green thumb kept her hopping outside in the summer and inside during the winter. Each year she insisted that several geraniums must be protected from the bitter winter. Linda kept her love of gardening alive for the past few years.

She loved feeding the birds in several bird feeders in her front yard. Even though her sight was almost gone, she still insisted that they were filled. She also loved her big white “cat,” that was really Blanca, a well-loved Pitbull.

Her greatest desire was that all who knew her would meet her Savior and live lives to honor Jesus. Survivors include all five of her children, Lyle (Gina), Linda Stackhouse (Irvin), Debbie Saunchegrow (Herb), David (Laurie), and Nancy Davies (Dick. ) Her Grandchildren, Andy Dalton (Sarah), Jill Moran (John), Michael, Kevin, and Angie Stackhouse, Sarah, Courtney, and Joshua Saunchegrow, Lacey Wojtowicz (Phil), Erik Tanner (Effie) and Nichole Reynolds (George), Aliya, Katie, and Dalton Davies.

She loved and cared deeply for Pam Dalton and Larissa McDowell. She was also blessed with several Great Grandchildren. Her siblings, Charlene Baker, Kay Butler (Greg), and Duane Adams (Minta,) brought great joy to her life.

Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also provided blessed memories for her. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Stanley, her parents, Charles and Bonnie Adams, several brothers and sisters in laws, a nephew, Phil, a niece, Vicki, and grandchildren Nathan and Nicki Walmer. Thank you to the staff at Vernon Manor for their exceptional care.
