Bonnie Lou Barnett June 02, 1928 – January 24, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Bonnie Lou Barnett, 90, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, January 24, 2019. She was born June 2, 1928, in McPherson, to August Herman and Mae Marie (Merrill) Base. She was a 1946 graduate of McPherson High School and member of First Christian Church, Hutchinson.

Bonnie was a homemaker. On November 21, 1951, she married C.H. ‘Jack’ Barnett in Newton, Kansas. He died October 7, 1992.

She is survived by: daughter, Kathleen Heinlein and husband Daryl of Goddard; sons, Scott, Richard and wife Melyn, and Brian and wife Dorothy, all of Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Jean Stratton; and brother, John Base. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 West 4th Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bob Phipps presiding.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson. Memorial gifts may be made to First Christian Church or Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
