Obituary for Bonnie Lucille(Vail-Harris) Riley Bonnie Lucille (Vail-Harris) Riley, died peacefully July 19, 2018. The daughter of Columbus Lum” Joseph Ceburn Vail and Effie Pauline Gortney (Vail) Ray. Bonnie was born May 15, 1927 in Tinsman Arkansas.

Preceded in death by two husbands, Earl Joseph Harris and Virgil G. Riley, two daughters, Vivian Marie Harris and Mary Francis (Harris) Farra; one son, Earl Ray Franklin Harris. She is survived by her children, Margaret Ziegler, Linda Harris, Jesse Duane Harris, Fredrick Michael Harris, Yetta Estelle (Harris) Kelley, Joseph Ceburn Harris, and Brenda Sue (Harris) Spear. Bonnie was a nurse, protector , chef, cake maker, provider, housekeeper, laundry lady, hair stylist, seamstress (bridal dress, formal dress, any dress maker), child sitter, fun and loving mother to her eleven children.

Playing hide-n-seek and other games was a common activity in the young Harris family. She always made sure her children dressed well for Vacation Bible School, Sunday school and behaved well in church. Her love of animals was a gift to all the many kittens, puppies, cats and dogs she rescued throughout her life.

Most precious to her in the last years were her three cats and Big Dog. She as fun, funny, compassionate, empathic and spiritual and all who met her loved her. Precious to her are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; her many nephews and nieces whom she loves as her children; her sons-in-law and daughters-in-law she loves as her own.

Bonnie was a member of the River of Life Christian Church, Pastor Tony Minick. She loved to attend when she was able to sing and worship God. The family wishes to thank the medical teams at CHI Vincent Hospital, Cornerstone Hospital, Baptist Hospital Rehab and CHI Heart Clinic of Arkansas for the wonderful care given to our beloved mother.
