She was born September 24, 1934 in Caro, MI at the family home, daughter of the late George and Mabel (Hall) Bailey. Bonnie graduated from Marlette High School with the Class of 1954.

She married Harvey Nelson in September 1954. Bonnie was a member of Juhl Church. She was a homemaker, enjoyed helping people and loved spending time with family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Lori (Mitch) Griffee; son, Kevin (Heather) Nelson; five grandchildren, Matthew Nelson, Jennifer (Will) Davis, Shana Nelson, Tiffany and Stephanie Griffee; four great grandchildren, Carson, Zackry and Morginn Griffee and Braycen Linton; two sisters, Joyce (Ed) Justin and Grace (Melvin) Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Nelson in 1997; one brother, John Bailey; seven sisters, Betty Coupar, Zoenn Burrows, Donna Pollack, Mary Ellen Fischer, Georgine Kroetsch, Lois Wright and Jane Chappel. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Hope Lutheran Church 2510 Juhl Rd.

, Marlette, MI 48453 with Pastor Mike Hollenbeck officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
