Obituary for Bonnie Wynelle Brown Bonnie Wynelle (Lovell) Brown, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, June 14, 2018. Funeral Services for Wynelle will be at 2 pm Friday, June 15th at the Carbon Community Baptist Church in Carbon, TX. Family and friends will gather at 1 pm before the service for a visitation; burial will follow at the Murray Cemetery, located south of Carbon on Hwy 6.

Wynelle was born April 28, 1927 to Henry A. Lovell and Ethel Bonnie (Greenwood) Lovell in Carbon, Texas. She was a graduate of Baird High School in 1944. She was a member of Kokomo Carbon Community Baptist Church and accepted Christ July 1, 1943.

Wynelle married the love of her life W. D. “Bill” Brown February 23, 1952 and were married for 60 plus years before Bill passed away February 14, 2014. Wynelle taught ladies Sunday School Class a number of years and served as pianist for some time at Kokomo and later years for Carbon Baptist Church. She was the first President of the Kokomo Home Demonstration club which was organized Feb.

24, 1946, was a member until it disbanded in 1997. Wynelle was awarded Club Woman of the year in 1965, 1982, 1986, and 1993, and Club Woman in 1986. She served on various committees; Family & Consumer Science, Eastland County Historical (67 years) Eastland Co. FSA (advisor for 8 years), and had great pleasure helping with 4-H and Eastland County Livestock Show, plus anything concerning the youth.

Employed at Eastland National Bank 1952-57, Eastland Livestock Auction 1957-66, Secretary of Gorman High School 1966-75, and Secretary of an Eastland County Office from 1975 until it closed in 1979. There after she was a housewife and help mate on the ranch; including the gate opener for Bill. Wynelle is survived by the “joys of her life” son, Kris Brown and wife D’aun; grandchildren, Kristal Elliot and husband Daryl and Billy Bob Brown; great grandchildren, Parks and Kingstyn Elliot and Graham and Slade Elliot; along with many cousins and other loved ones.

She is preceded in death by husband, Bill; parents, Henry and Ethel Lovell; sister, Jenoise Allison and husband Euell; and nephew, Alvie Allison. Today’s Events Visitation 2018 JUN 15. 01:00 PM – 02:00 PM Carbon Community Church Carbon, TX, US 2018 JUN 15.
