Branden was born November 21, 1995 to Jannette Rivera and Juan Ruiz in Lorain, Ohio. He is preceded in death with his mother, Jannette Rivera.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are brother Jose Manuel Ruiz and Heather Vercher, niece Olivia, sister Eva husband David Lopez, Aunt Eva “Tata” Rivera, grandmother Ines Rivera and grandfather Wilson Quinones, cousins Mayra and Monica Cortes and half brothers John Ruiz and Daniel Ruiz and friends.
