OBITUARY Brenda Gibson December 16, 1951 – September 12, 2018 Mrs. Brenda Groover Gibson, age 66 of Steele went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday September 12, 2018. The family will receive friends for visitation at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Friday September 14th from 5 to 7 P.M. Funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, at 2 P.M. at the funeral home. Graveside service and interment will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Rev. Johnny Wilson and Rev. Terry Tibbs will officiate.

Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing. Brenda was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church and in most recent years had been attending Hopewell Baptist Church in Ashville. Brenda had been blind for more than twenty years, but it never hindered her from living her life to the fullest, working hard and taking care of her home and her family.

She enjoyed spending time working in her garden, planting flowers, cooking, canning and shopping with her friends. Brenda will be dearly missed by her many loved ones but we know that, as she promised, she has gone to get her wings. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in passing by her parents, several siblings and daughter, Sarah.

She leaves behind her husband, Jerry W. Gibson Siblings, Joe Lumpkin and Cynthia Gutierrez Special nieces, Kim Zavala and Zelena Zavala Special friends, Johnny & Kathy Wilson. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Special Thanks are extended to the Steele Fire Department and paramedics for all of their aid and assistance.
