OBITUARY Ruth Allene Carden May 7, 1933 – September 8, 2018 Ruth Allene Carden, 85 of Steele passed away September 8, 2018. Graveside Service will be held at Deerman’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 12p.m. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a lifelong resident of Steele, Alabama and married the love of her life Frank Carden.

Together they had five beautiful children whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed working in her rose garden and going to church. Ruth spent much of her time honoring her lost loved ones by visiting and decorating their resting places at Deerman’s Chapel Church Cemetery.

Most of all she loved spending time with her family and playing with her puppy, Scooby. She worked most of her life and loved it but also loved to take trips with her family, especially to the mountains. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Carden; mother, Florence Reneman; father, Ewing Hollingsworth; sisters, Lois Beets, Christine Brown, Rosemary Hollingsworth; brothers, Roy Hollingswoth, Lindsey Hollingsworth, John Thomas Hollingsworth; and sons, Tommy Carden, Ricky Carden, and Terry Carden.

She is survived by her loving son, Billy Carden and loving daughter, Brenda (Anthony) Looney; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tommy Carden Jr., Michael Carden, Ricky Wayne Carden, Anthony Kyle Looney, Tyler Carden, Dakota Carden, and Dylan Carden. Special thanks to Ashville Healthcare Inc. and Southern Comfort Beacon Hospice.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 until 8p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
