Brenda Joyce Earwood, 76, passed away Saturday October 6th, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She enjoyed Bible study, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family. She was born September 20, 1942 to the late Virgil and Donnie Calhoun.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Floyd Earwood. Brother Billy Calhoun and sister Patsy Goins. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Angie Sims (Dennis), Gina Gilbert (Scott) and Jalayne Myers (Mike).

Five Grandchildren,… Read More » Mitchell Sims, Dustin Sims, Zachary Hicks, Creed Hicks, and Emma Grace Myers. Seven great-grandchildren, Sydney, Kynslei, Kyra, Lance, Lyla and Dylauni Sims. Two brothers, Jackie (Donna) Calhoun, Junior Calhoun and sister-in-law Janice Calhoun.

Two sisters, Barbara Bishop and Jennie (Charles) Dixon. Many nieces and nephews and other family and friends. The family would like to say a special thank you to Hearth Hospice Care.

The family will receive friends at 5 PM on Thursday, October 11th at Freedom Fellowship Church and a Remembrance service at 6 PM. Rev. Frank Evans and Rev.

A.C. Cooper will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Team Gleason or ALS Foundation. You are invited to share a personal memory of Brenda or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com.
