Brenda Kay Jones passed away peacefully on March 21, 2019 while surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Brenda was born on January 10, 1952 and has been a lifetime resident of Lenoir County. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Clarabelle Lambert and brother Charles (Dick) Lambert.

Brenda had three daughters and was married for 23 years to her loving husband Dennis, who was always by her side. Brenda competed with chronic illnesses for many years and defeated cancer in 2018. Through it all, she stayed strong and never lost the will to live.

She was creative and enjoyed arts and crafts and loved to share her talent with her family. Brenda is survived by her husband Dennis and daughters Crystal and husband Jonny Thigpen, children Wyatt, Caden, Kaylee and great grandchild Kaison Rodgers; Hermanda and husband Jimmy Butler, children Chandler, Jackson and Jase; April Wilson, children Abigail, Jordan and Ava; and her faithful furry companion, Nik Nik.
