Ms. Brenda Mae Kilgore “Lulu” Fields, 66, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a former employee at Sam’s Club. Lulu loved her family and her dog, Skipper.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maybelle Gibson and stepfather James Pete Gibson; her daughter, Candace Barnes; infant daughter, Heather Nicole Slone; and soulmate, Pete Fletcher Meade. Surviving are her son, Donald Slone; son in-law, Brian Barnes; grandchildren, Katlyn Slone, Jared Barnes, Abbygale Slone, Tori Barnes, and Gavin Slone; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at Jefferson Christian Church with Rev.

Donald Davis officiating. Private entombment will follow. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Jefferson Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Citizens Bank of King, 604 S. Main St., King, NC 27021 or in person at any First Citizens Bank.
