Brian’s Obituary Brian A. Bogdon, 52, of Hamilton, MT passed away, at home, May 22, 2019 in Mackay, ID. Brian was born November 23, 1966 in LaMesa, CA to Richard Bogdon and Coleen (Bogdon) Feuers. Brian attended Darby High School, MT and graduated from Pemberton High School, Browns Mills, NJ.

In 1987, he joined the US Marine Corp and served six years as a Powerplant (Harriar) Mechanic. On July 8, 2000, in Sula, MT, Brian married the love of his life, Sherry. Together, in Hamilton, they raised two sons, Brandon and Ryan.

They maintained their home in Hamilton until moving to Mackay, ID in 2018. Keeping with his love of aviation, in 1998, he began refueling aircraft at Yuma Proving Grounds. In 2000, with Sherry at his side, he moved to Hamilton, MT where he worked at Garlick Helicopters.

This was merely the surface of his skill and talent. He soon earned his AP and IA. He went on to lead UH-60 and OH-58 contract reset programs at Wheeler Army Airfield, Oahu, Hawaii and Ft.

Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska. In 2008, he earned his private pilot license and purchased his own airplane, a dream come true. Excelling in the industry, in 2011, he became the Bell Helicopter Representative in Afghanistan.

In 2012, he finalized his career as an Aviation Compliance Specialist for United States Department of Interior, OAS, taking him as far as Antarctica to inspect aircraft. Brian enjoyed fishing, ATVing, car shows, flying, riding his Harley and proudly shared it all with Sherry. His favorite quote was “I love us” and said this to Sherry often.

He loved to cook and was a master home brewer. He made the best Porter homebrew some folks ever tasted. Brian is survived by his wife Sherry; their sons, Ryan Bogdon of Hamilton and Brandon Cook (wife Malorie and two grandchildren) of Hamilton; his parents, Coleen and Danny Feuers of Corvallis, MT, Richard and Robin Bogdon of Austin, TX; his brother, Randy Bogdon of Austin, TX; and grandfather, Roy Cooper of Corvallis, MT.

There will be a Reception of Condolences held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 652 Dusty Trail, Corvallis, MT. Additionally, there will be a Memorial ATV ride and dinner, per Brian’s request, on Saturday, July 6, 2019 starting at 10:00 AM from his home at 706 Park Ave. , Mackay, ID.
