Brian K. Dudzik, age 58 of the Township of Grant, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family. Brian Keith Dudzik was born March 7, 1961 in Stevens Point, WI, son to Raymond A. Dudzik and the late Rosalie M. (Weller) Dudzik. He attended high school in Tigerton with the class of 1978.
Brian enlisted in the U.S. Army while still in high school in 1978, later earning his diploma while serving. He went to basic training at Fort Knox, KY, was stationed at Fort Benning, GA for a time, and later served at his duty station at Fort Wainwright, AK. Brian served as an infantryman, specialized in field artillery, and was also trained as a combat lifesaver.
He loved his country and enjoyed serving next to the friends he made while enlisted. Following his active duty status, Brian joined the Army National Guard, and was able to serve right here in Clintonville as an armorer, servicing and inventorying firearms. He worked for Tigerton Lumber Co. until the late 1990’s when he started working for Walker Forge, Clintonville.
He worked as a shipping supervisor until his declining health caused him to retire in 2016. Brian was a skilled marksman and gunsmith; he also ran a side business for a time called Brian’s Guns. He loved to hunt bear, deer, and turkeys; he even did his fair share of trapping.
He enjoyed anything outdoors, like camping with family or tailgating while cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Brian enjoyed every second that he got to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren, and would rarely miss a family event. He will be remembered as a person who loved to be social and be around other people; he also had a great sense of humor.
