Brian’s Obituary Brian Nathaniel Simon, 56, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 3:50AM. Brian is survived by his father, Henry Simon; step-mother, Mary Jane Simon; mother, Arthurine Mary Bertrand; son, Shawn Barrios and wife Rebecca; grandchildren, Shawn Barrios Jr., Ryleigh Barrios, Cory Brown, Chase Clark; siblings, Rhonda Simon Blanchard, Chandler Simon, and Amber Simon; nieces and nephews, Ashley Rene Fanguy and husband Jonathan, Brennan Blanchard and wife Stacy. Brian was a faithful servant of Jehovah and there will be a celebration of his life by Brother Don Wunstall.

Brian is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leroy Bertrand; maternal grandmother, Delta Marceaux Bertrand. Brian loved the outdoors. He had a passion for working on anything mechanical.

He enjoyed nature and spent much time with his grandfather hunting and fishing. He will be forever remembered by his family and friends; never forgotten and always loved. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Simon family.
