BRITTNEY JEAN HUSTED of Groton Ct passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at the age of 41. Brittney was born November 16, 1977 in New Haven, CT. She graduated from New London High School, class of 1995; and from Central Connecticut State University class of 2000.

Brittney was employed by the Town of Groton, in the Tax Collectors Office for many years. She will be missed by not only family members, but the friends and co-workers that have met her throughout the years. Not too many people that met her didn’t enjoy her smile and friendly manner.

Brittney leaves behind her son, Jacob Austill; her parents Pam and Tom Cunningham of Winter Haven, Fl. ; Father Fredrick Husted of Bridgeport New York; sisters Leann Husted of Cromwell, Tiffany Keene of Syracuse, New York; Brother Brad Husted and his wife Christine Husted of Uncasville. She is also survived by aunts Sherry Morris and her husband Skip of Uncasville, Barbara Janssen and husband Mark of New London, Debra Lawrence and her husband Bill of St Mary’s Ga.

, Judy Husted of Hudson, NH. ; her Uncle Russell Husted of Minoa NY. She leaves nieces and nephews, Kira and Arik Hartnett, Wade and Kacey Husted, Ashlee, Emily and Hailey Keene.

She leaves behind several cousins, Kerry Poggiosantos, Harvey Husted, Steven Husted, Nicole Hicks, Heather Mondoux, John Morris, Coral Husted, Dwayne Husted, Jena Langan, and their families. Brittney also leaves behind Jacob’s dad, Chris Austill; second mom Lisa Austill and their children Aidan and Gavin of Waterford; Tom’s daughters, Theresa Cunningham, Sarah Siaca, her husband Luis and their children, Ruben and Jordan all of Winter Haven, Fl. ; step-father Richard Barron of St Mary’s Ga.

There will be a Celebration of Life on March 2, 2019 at the Montville VFW at 1:00 pm. To plant a tree in memory of Brittney Husted, please visit our Tribute Store.
