Born in Shamokin on August 22, 1975, he was the son of the late Edward and Debbie Ann (Moser) Bridy. He graduated June 8, 1993 from Shamokin Area High School.

Brock was both well-known and well-loved, not only in the Mount Carmel community, but in many of the surrounding communities, as well. The people that came in contact with Brock, and there were many, considered him to be one of the most-caring people you could ever know. If there was a fund raising project somewhere, there’s a good chance that Brock was there to help.

He worked endless hours helping organizations like the Knights of Columbus, Mount Carmel Lions, and others. He gave even more of himself to many of the area churches, including: St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Mount Carmel, Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Kulpmont, Patronage Church of the Mother of God in Marion Heights, SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church in Mount Carmel, Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church in Shamokin, and St. Michael’s Ukrainian Church in Hazleton. In addition, he often volunteered for Meals on Wheels during the holidays.

Brock helped make so many pierogies throughout his lifetime at the various churches, that he was affectionately known as “King Pryohy”, which was also his e-mail user name. His cooking ability was well-known, and he was always a tremendous help both in the kitchen and preparing for large meals. He loved arranging the flowers at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church for Christmas and Easter and always did an absolutely beautiful job with a meticulous eye for detail.

He often accompanied individuals to medical appointments or on shopping trips, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Brock had a big heart, was loved by many, and brought great joy to any gathering he attended. He was considered family by many and will be dearly missed.

Brock is survived by a grandmother, Dolores Howard of Hometown; a cousin, Roxanne Jurevicz of Millerstown; and many friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Danyel L. Bridy and many cousins.
