Bruce M. Eggen, 64, of West Fargo, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 23, 2018. Bruce Michael Eggen was born August 4, 1953, in Browns Valley, MN, to Rudolph and Esther (Stensrud) Eggen. They lived at Sisseton, SD until 1956, when the family moved to West Fargo.

Bruce was educated and graduated from West Fargo Schools. He was then employed by Federal Beef/Held Beef and later Quality Meats in West Fargo. For the past 23 years, Bruce was employed by Spartan Nash in Fargo.

He was once married to Merry Ottesen. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending most weekends on the lake in South Dakota or hunting with friends North of Fargo. Bruce volunteered many years with the “Twist of Fate”, an organization that makes the sport of archery more accessible to anyone regardless of physical limitations.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Denis and Larry. Grateful for having shared in his life is a son: Christopher of Mandan; 3 brothers: Randy (Diane) of Monmouth, Il, Michael (Marla) of Casselton and Kevin of West Fargo, as well as several nephews. Visitation: 6 to 7p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the West Funeral Home in West Fargo.

Memorial Service: 7p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of floral pieces, memorials are preferred to: Twist of Fate, 421 37th Ave.
