He was born on April 20,1980 in Indiana, the son of Larry Saltsgiver and Dorothy Pardee in the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Bruce was a 2001 graduate of Marion Center High School where he was enrolled in The Job Training Program.

He earned excellent scores while working at several job sites within the district. Bruce enjoyed playing baseball on the Marlin’s team while a member of The YMCA Miracle League of Indiana County. He was also an avid bowler and was well known at the Mohawk Lanes.

On bowling days while heading out the door, Bruce was sure to promise, “I’ll bring you home a strike! ” Bruce had an active social life as well. Attending Community Living and Learning was his passion.

It was Bruce’s greatest joy to see staff member Jesse Oakes. Together the two of them would turn ordinary days into extraordinary ones! After “school”, Bruce was always eager to share EVERTHING with us at home!

He enjoyed going to Love and Light every month so that he could chat with his friends while sharing a meal, making a craft, or dancing. Once a year, Bruce attended the Starlit Night formal dinner dance. He took great pride in taking Destiny Morrison whom he considered his girlfriend.

Bruce also took pleasure in eating out, playing Monopoly, collecting cars, making crafts, playing on his tablet, and listening to country music. Preceding Bruce in death were his mother, grandmother Helen H. Miller, uncle Walter Pardee, Foster Father, Maynard Miller and Foster Mother, Eleanor Miller. Bruce is survived by Henry and Rhonda Reinholtz, his devoted and loving “Mom and Dad,” who were truly blessed by God to be able to take Bruce upon the deaths of his foster parents.

This young man who lived in pain daily never showed anything but hope, kindness, and love. He found profound happiness in the simplest of things and good in everyone. You will be missed.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to time of service at 7 p.m. on Friday at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: YMCA Miracle League of Indiana, 60 North Ben Franklin Road, Indiana, PA 15701.
